“An oral historian living in Sorokdo tells the story about harsh time endured by Sorokdo and Hansen’s disease patients.”

Information about Oral History
  • Visitors who wish to listen to oral history should wait in the Human Rights Zone (2F) at the designated time.
  • Oral testimony is run every day except for closed days (every Monday, January 1, New Year’s Holiday, Chuseok Holiday)
  • Group visitors who wish to choose their own time and date for oral history should make reservation in advance.

    Please make reservation at least one day ahead (Monday-Friday). If not, the oral historian may not be available.

  • Oral history takes about 40 minutes and the number of visitors admitted may be limited to 20 persons for pleasant visitor experience.

Group visitors who wish to have a guided tour(interpretation of cultural heritage) on a specific day should make an advance reservation. If not, a guided tour may not be available depending on the circumstances.
